The aim of Animal Samaritans is to provide care and shelter for unwanted, abandoned, neglected or ill-treated animals and to provide new homes for them wherever possible. We do not have a rescue centre facility so we rely on our wonderful group of volunteers and fosterers.<\/p>

Neutering – We encourage neutering and ensure all cats and dogs are microchipped before re-homing. If you need help with neutering your own animal, please request assistance by filling in our ‘Neutering Assistance form’ above<\/span><\/p>

Rehoming \u2013 We try to find new forever homes for as many pets as we can. We operate a non destruction policy and never put a healthy animal to sleep. If you are interested in rehoming one of our animals, please fill in the ‘Adoption form’<\/strong> above<\/span><\/p>

Veterinary care support \u2013 We can offer support with veterinary care at one of our partner vets. We are not able to pay bills that have already been incurred. If you need help, please fill in the ‘Veterinary support form’ above. We are not able to provide emergency vet care support.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Some of our cats and kittens don\u2019t appear on our usual adoption pages but that doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re any less special.<\/p>

These are the cats who have come to us through welfare concerns or investigations, and they\u2019re looking for someone willing to give them a second chance. Many of them have had a difficult start in life, so they need homes filled with patience, love, and understanding. In return, they offer endless gratitude, quiet companionship, and the occasional mischievous moment that will make you smile every day.<\/p>

Cat Waiting List Update <\/strong><\/p>

At Animal Samaritans, we believe in transparency, compassion & doing what\u2019s right? (especially when it\u2019s difficult.) Over the past few weeks, our team has responded to an overwhelming number of urgent cases: kittens found abandoned, stray cats in extremely poor condition, & cats facing the risk of euthanasia. We\u2019ve taken in as many as we can safely care for.<\/p>

At the same time, rehoming has slowed. This directly impacts our foster capacity, which is now completely full. If your cat is already on the list, their place remains secure, but please be aware that the wait time is now estimated at 6 to 9 months for any new agreed additions to that list.<\/p>

We understand how upsetting this news may be for those hoping to get help. It breaks our hearts too. We remain fully committed to the cats already in our care.<\/p>
