Our gorgeous 3\u00bd month old Maine Coon cross Abraxos is looking for his forever home. Abraxos has made incredible progress since coming into our care, but he has ongoing medical needs which mean that his adoption requirements are very specific.<\/p>\n

  \"\u26a0\ufe0f\"<\/span> PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING <\/p>\n

Every requirement listed below is NON-NEGOTIABLE. We will only consider an application if all of these requirements can be met. <\/p>\n

\"\u2764\ufe0f\"<\/span> Abraxos must be an indoor-only cat.<\/p>\n

\"\u2764\ufe0f\"<\/span> He must be rehomed as an only cat OR with another cat who also carries cat flu. Abraxos carries cat flu, although he isn\u2019t currently experiencing a flare-up.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2764\ufe0f\"<\/span> His new home must be within easy travelling distance of one of our partner vets. Animal Samaritans will continue to provide veterinary care and support for Abraxos, so living within reasonable travelling distance of one of our vets is essential.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2764\ufe0f\"<\/span> His adopter must be able to manage his ongoing medical needs. Abraxos has a history of significant constipation which has required veterinary intervention. He currently requires daily medication to help manage this. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2764\ufe0f\"<\/span> His bowel movements must be monitored closely. His new family will need to recognise changes in his toileting and seek veterinary advice promptly if there are concerns.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2764\ufe0f\"<\/span> His eating and hydration must be monitored. Abraxos has previously been severely malnourished and can be a fussy eater. He needs a family who will make sure he is eating and drinking sufficiently.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2764\ufe0f\"<\/span> His new family must be prepared for ongoing veterinary care. We don\u2019t yet know whether some of his medical needs will improve as he gets older or whether he will require ongoing management throughout his life.<\/span><\/p>\n

 What we\u2019re looking for <\/span><\/p>\n

We need someone who genuinely understands that Abraxos is not a straightforward kitten adoption. He needs a home where his health will be taken seriously, where his medication and toileting can be monitored, where veterinary advice will be sought when needed, and where Animal Samaritans can continue supporting his care. <\/span><\/p>\n

These requirements are not negotiable and we will not make exceptions. That may sound very strict, but Abraxos has already been through an awful lot in his short life. Our responsibility is to make absolutely certain that the home we choose is the right one for him, not simply the first home that falls in love with him. And believe us, falling in love with him won\u2019t be difficult.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2764\ufe0f\"<\/span> Abraxos is an incredibly affectionate, friendly and confident little boy. He\u2019s chatty, playful, loves cuddles, enjoys sitting on your shoulder and wants to be involved in absolutely everything you are doing. He\u2019s a very special little kitten. Now we need to find a very special home that can meet every one of his needs.<\/span><\/p>\n
