Scar & Amos' Story

Scar and Amos came into rescue as part of a larger rescue operation and, understandably, found the world a little overwhelming at first. Over the past year, these gentle boys have made incredible progress in foster care and are now ready to find a patient, loving home of their own.

Are Scar & Amos right for you?

Personality: They enjoy spending time in the room with adults and have been fine with other cats.

Likes: They like treats and will take these gently from us. They enjoy playing with toys now and the odd sponge or popit toy. They have both found their voices and will let you know when they want their food.

Things to know: These boys like to sit with you but will not be lap cats. Given time, that might change because they have come on leaps and bounds with their foster mum. They are currently indoor cats but potentially could be allowed access to a safe garden. These cats would suit an adult home or one with older teenage children.

Could Scar & Amos be the perfect pair for you?

These sweet-natured brothers enjoy the company of people and are happy spending time in the same room as their humans. They’ve also lived happily alongside other cats and could potentially share a home with friendly feline companions.

They have discovered the joys of play and can often be found batting toys around, chasing pop-it toys, or entertaining themselves with the occasional sponge toy. Treats are a firm favourite, and they’ll happily take them gently from your hand. They’ve also found their voices and won’t hesitate to remind you when dinner time is approaching!

Scar and Amos aren’t lap cats at the moment, but they do enjoy being near their people and will often choose to sit close by. Their foster mum has watched them grow in confidence month by month, and with patience, understanding, and time, there’s every reason to believe they will continue to flourish in their new home.

They are looking for a calm household with adults or older teenagers who will allow them to settle at their own pace. They are currently indoor cats but could potentially enjoy access to a secure and safe garden in the future.

If you’re willing to give two shy boys the chance they deserve, you’ll be rewarded with the privilege of watching their confidence grow and seeing their unique personalities shine. Scar and Amos have come so far already – now they just need a family to help them take the next step.
