Abraxos is a beautiful little Maine Coon kitten who has already been through more in his short life than any kitten should.
Abraxos & his sister were believed to be around five weeks old when they were found abandoned in the woods. Both were severely malnourished when they were brought safely to Park Vets in Sidcup, & heartbreakingly, his little sister sadly passed away.
We don’t know exactly what happened to these two tiny kittens, but we strongly suspect they may have been abandoned by a breeder who couldn’t sell them because of their health problems. Whatever the circumstances, they were left far too young to fend for themselves.
But Abraxos has fought on. Over the last few weeks, this tiny boy has been slowly gaining weight & we’re so incredibly happy to say that he has finally reached 1kg!
Unfortunately, his difficult start has left him with ongoing problems. Abraxos has needed to be unblocked a couple of times, which understandably left us very worried that this could become a recurring issue. He is now receiving treatment for constipation & we’re keeping everything crossed that this will help get his little digestive system working properly.
A huge thank you has to go to the wonderful veterinary team at Park Vets in Sidcup for their incredible dedication & determination to keep this little boy’s bowels moving. They have worked so hard to give Abraxos the best chance possible.
He’s come such a long way already, from a tiny, severely malnourished kitten found abandoned in the woods to a little boy who has finally reached that all-important 1kg milestone.
We still have a way to go, but Abraxos is stable, & for now, that’s something worth celebrating.
Just look at the photos of our gorgeous little survivor.
We’d love to keep giving Abraxos everything he needs to get stronger, so if you can spare anything towards his ongoing veterinary care, we’d be incredibly grateful.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us continue saying yes to kittens like Abraxos who desperately need someone to give them a chance.
Please keep this little fighter in your thoughts & send him lots of positive kitten vibes.
Donate if you can. Share if you can’t. Either way, you’re helping us keep fighting for the little ones who need us most.
