Shirley's Story

Shirley is a 1 year old DSH girl who has already been through a lot for such a young cat. She was found living under a bush with her kittens, alongside her son Vern.

Shirley was understandably nervous and shy when she first came into rescue, but her confidence is growing every day. She’s beginning to come out of her shell, running around, playing with toys and showing us the fun-loving, mischievous young cat underneath. Her absolute favourite is her little pom-pom ball, which she proudly carries around before flicking her head and sending it flying!

Shirley is a sensitive girl who will need a calm, patient and understanding home where she can settle at her own pace. She may hide initially, but with time and reassurance, we believe she’ll blossom into a wonderful companion.

Shirley could be rehomed with her son Vern, but equally, she could happily live as an only cat or with another friendly, calm feline companion.

If you have a little patience and lots of love to give, Shirley could be the perfect addition to your family
