Beautiful Myrtle is a 15-year-old lady looking for a peaceful retirement home where she can finally enjoy the love, comfort and security she deserves. Myrtle came into Animal Samaritans after being found as a stray. Since coming into our care, she has blossomed into a gentle, friendly girl. She has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and is now ready to find a forever family of her own. 

Myrtle is happiest in a quiet home where she can take life at her own pace. She enjoys having a cosy place to hide away when she wants some peace, but when she’s ready, she’ll come and seek out affection on her own terms. Building a bond with Myrtle is incredibly rewarding, as every moment of trust she gives is something truly special. 

She is looking for a patient family who understand that not every cat wants to be the centre of attention all the time. Myrtle simply wants a safe home where she can relax, feel secure and enjoy gentle companionship. Myrtle would like to be the only pet in the home, as she isn’t keen on living with other cats or dogs. She would be happiest in a home with older children aged 12 and over who will respect her space. 

Myrtle has hyperthyroidism, which is well managed with daily Thyronorm medication. She’s looking for someone who is happy to continue this simple treatment so she can enjoy many more happy years.
